T he Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has been extended until 30 September 2021 and the level of grant available to employers under the scheme will stay the same until 30 June 2021.

Changes do not come into place until 1 July 2021 when the level of grant will be reduced and you will be asked to contribute towards the cost of your furloughed employees wages. To be eligible you must continue to pay your furloughed employees 80% of their wages, up to a cap of £2,500 per month.

The level of Government input will reduce over the coming months.

  • May  – 80% or up to £2,500

  • June  – 80% or up to £2,500

  • July  – 70% or up to £2,187.50

  • August  – 60% or up to £1875

  • September  – 60% or up to £1875
